A lead score only helps if everyone on the team can read it at a glance. Four tiers beat a 0–100 number for that. Here's the exact rubric ListGrader uses, as a free template.
| Check | Points |
|---|---|
| Industry matches your ICP | +30 (−15 if clearly off-target) |
| Title is a target buyer (or senior: owner, founder, partner, director, VP, head of) | +25 (senior but not a target title: +18; junior: −20) |
| Country is one you serve | +15 (−10 if outside) |
| Employee count inside your range | +20 (−25 if outside) |
| Website loads | +10 |
| Role inbox (info@, sales@…) | −15 |
| Free email (Gmail, Outlook…) | −5 |
| No email | −15 |
Hard cuts (score 0, tier Cut): dead website, parked/for-sale website, invalid email, duplicate.
Adjust the weights to your business. If company size matters more to you than title, move points around, but keep the hard cuts. The method behind it is in how to clean a lead list before cold email.
Filling yes/no columns for 500 rows is slow. Upload the same CSV to ListGrader and it checks websites and emails and applies this rubric for you.
